NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two more school records fell and several personal bests were set for the ULM men's and women's track and field teams on the second and final day of the Vanderbilt Invitational at David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center.
The Warhawk women's 4x400 meter relay team of
Brittney Roberson,
Jasmine Williams,
Fiebe Tengrootenhuysen and
Amanda Radava set a new school record and was third in 3:49.82. Tengrootenhuysen was fourth in the 400, improving her school-record time to 56.13 seconds. Roberson was right behind her in sixth in 56.33. Williams was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in a personal-best time of 8.66.
A week after winning the triple jump at Texas A&M's Ted Nelson Invitational,
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi was third in the women's triple jump with a leap of 41-2 1/4, improving her mark by two inches.
On the men's side,
Bailey Couch placed third in the heptathlon, accruing 4,695 points.
Keith Robinson was fourth in the 60 meters in a personal-best time of 6.86.
Darshon Turk and
Brandon Lewis finished back-to-back in the 60-meter hurdles with personal-best times of 8.13 and 8.21, respectively.
Joseph White was eighth in the 400 in 49.32.
Other personal-best finishes included
Rojs Puks and
Eliana Battle in the mile run. Puks finished in 4:20.12 and Battle finished in 5:08.20.
The Warhawks take a week off before returning to the track at the Bayou Bengal, hosted by LSU, on Feb. 4.
