MATCH NOTES
MONROE, La. - The ULM volleyball team returns to Sun Belt Conference play at 6 p.m. Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday at Troy. The Warhawks (7-16 overall, 0-8 SBC), snapped an eight-match losing streak with a 3-0 non-conference win at Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday.
The Warhawks continue to be led by graduate transfer middle blocker
Madeline Williams. The St. Louis, Missouri, native has 280 kills on the season, good for 3.22 per set. She recorded her 1,000th career kill with her first kill of the match vs. App State last Friday. She also leads the team with 54 blocks. Freshman setter
Bailey Roberson is closing in on 600 assists for the season, compiling 597 assists, good for 7.75 per set. Sophomore defensive specialist/libero
Cameron Rogers leads the Warhawks with 330 digs (3.79 per set).
Troy is 12-8 overall and 6-2 in the SBC. The Trojans have won five straight matches, taking the final match of the weekend series with Southern Miss, 3-0, on Oct. 1, before sweeping Marshall, 3-1 and 3-0, and Arkansas State, 3-1 and 3-0. Tori Hester leads the Trojans with 332 kills (4.31 per set). Amara Anderson has 775 assists (10.20 per set) and five Trojans have over 100 digs, led by Jaci Mesa's 198 (2.75 per set).

Madeline Williams tied her career best with 19 kills in last Friday's match against Sun Belt Conference rival App State, but the Mountaineers took the 3-2 win (25-12, 24-26, 25-19, 22-25, 15-8). Williams had the match-high total and
Tessa Gerwig added 13 for the Warhawks. Alyssa McBean had a match-best 23 digs for the Mountaineers.
ULM won the opening set, but App State won the final three sets for a 3-1 win (23-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-16) in Fant-Ewing Coliseum last Saturday afternoon. The Warhawks started the first set with an 8-1 lead and won 25-23 behind a 13-kill performance from
Williams and 10 from
Brynn Botkin. The Mountaineers' McCall Denny had a match-best 23 kills on the afternoon while Warhawk
Cameron Rogers had a season-best 23 digs for the top match total.
ULM swept Arkansas-Pine Bluff 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) in a non-conference match Monday night at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
Williams led the Warhawks again with a match-high 16 kills while
Botkin had a team-best nine digs in ULM's third sweep of the season.
SERIES HISTORY -
Troy leads the series against ULM, 16-4. The Trojans have won the last three meetings, including a 3-0 win at Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Oct. 22, 2021. The Warhawks last beat the Trojans, 3-2, on Nov. 3, 2017, in Troy. Two of ULM's wins in series history have come in Troy, also defeating the Trojans, 3-2, on Nov. 7, 2014.
