CONWAY, S.C. – The 2022 ULM soccer season ended abruptly Thursday night with a 1-0 loss at Coastal Carolina. The loss eliminated the Warhawks from contention for next week's Sun Belt Conference Championship in Foley, Alabama. ULM finished one point behind Southern Miss and Marshall for the final two spots in the field.
Coastal Carolina scored the only goal of the match in the 41st minute as Julia Ziegenfuss found the back of the net off assists from Sarah Allen and Cami Wiles. CCU had 18 shots to 17 for ULM, but each team put seven shots on goal. CCU goalkeeper Katelyn Kellogg had seven saves, while ULM keeper

Three Warhawks left their names in the program's single season record book.
Inge Konst tied for first in a single season in ULM history with three penalty kicks made, along with Amanda Wing in 2004 and Cindy Barker in 2003. She tied for sixth with eight goals, joining Jenna Pillon in 2013, Alicia Hamilton in 2004 and Julia McVarish in 2002. She also tied for eighth with 19 points, coming on eight goals with three assists, joining Hamilton's 2004 season.
Mara Grutkamp tied for fifth in a single season with six assists.
Mickaela Leal tied for sixth with three shutouts, a feat which has been accomplished four other times. She tied for seventh with a 1.50 goals against average, joining Jessica Robinson in 2003.
