ULM won the match thanks to victories by Gallant and Adams on Court 2, Moreland and Hoven on Court 4 and Bufkin and freshman
Tamsie Black on Court 5. UNO is 8-4 on the season after going 2-2 at last week's Tulane Classic.
The Friday afternoon match with SFA is also a rematch after the Lady Jacks defeated ULM, 4-1, on the first day of ULM's Bayou Bash on March 4. Moreland and Hoven picked up ULM's only point on Court 3. SFA is 7-6 and did not play last week after going 0-4 at the Tiger Beach Challenge at LSU on March 5-6.
ULM meets Arizona State for the first time this season on Saturday morning. ASU won the only other meeting in program history between the two, when the Sun Devils defeated the Warhawks, 3-2, on March 16, 2019, at the Arizona Invitational. The Sun Devils are 7-5 after going 4-2 last week.
Saturday afternoon's match with No. 3 TCU is the first of back-to-back meetings with the Horned Frogs, with a ULM/TCU matchup set to open next week's LSU Beach Invitational. TCU defeated ULM twice at last year's Fight in the Fort, both by 5-0 scores. The Frogs are off to a 15-0 start after winning six matches at last week's Queen's Cup tournament at Hawaii. TCU has won 13 of 15 matches by at least a 4-1 margin.
