BATON ROUGE, La. – The ULM beach volleyball team dropped four matches at the LSU Beach Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium.
The Warhawks lost Saturday's matches by 5-0 scores to No. 2 TCU and No. 6 LSU before falling to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 4-1, and Tampa, 3-2, on Sunday.
"When we scheduled this tournament, we knew this was going to be the toughest," ULM Director of Volleyball
Charlie Olson said. "We played TCU and LSU back-to-back, two nationally-ranked opponents. Our team stepped up big time and fought hard for every point.
"Today we had Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Tampa on the table, two teams that we match up well with," Olson said. "However, they slipped away with the wins. We played cleaner all throughout the weekend, and we're very excited about our growth. We failed to capitalize at the end of each of our final two duals which ultimately led to two more in the loss column."
ULM hosts its second tournament of the spring on Friday and Saturday for the ULM Beach Invitational at the ULM Beach Volleyball Courts.
