MONROE, La. – The ULM beach volleyball team picked up two wins on the first day of the ULM Beach Invitational Friday at the ULM Beach Volleyball Courts, cruising past Mary Hardin-Baylor, 5-0, before outlasting Central Arkansas, 4-1, in a tightly contested match.
The Warhawks wrap up the home schedule on Saturday, facing New Orleans at 9 a.m. and Southeastern at 5 p.m. at the ULM Beach Volleyball Courts. Seniors

Audrey Brooks and
Julia Blazek opened with a quick 21-8, 21-7 win over Shelby Broekhuizen and Anna Guidry on court one.
Kaitlyn Nowak and
Avery Reynolds posted a 21-9, 21-10 win on court two over Olivia Sherbert and Avery Mercer. On court three,
Brooke Hoven and
Elizabeth Moreland rolled to a 21-9, 21-8 win.
Kayla Gallant and
Rylin Adams took care of business against Gracie Nichols and Ella Brunson on court four, 21-12, 21-12.
Abbey Bufkin and
Abigail Elder wrapped up the sweep on court five with a 21-18, 21-15 win over Aliana Rojas and Hannah Frasca.

Four of the five courts went to three sets as ULM won three of the four three-set matches to take a 4-1 win over UCA and sweep the first day of action.
Bufkin and Elder had the only sweep for ULM on court five, defeating Anna Collums and Ryenne Gepford, 21-11, 21-11.
On court four, Gallant and Adams played the longest match of the day, clocking in at nearly one hour and 10 minutes as they needed extra points to defeat UCA's Payton Sproule and Kayla Cook, 16-21, 22-20, 21-19.
ULM sealed the match on court three as Nowak and Reynolds bounced back from a first-set loss to defeat UCA's Julia Oravec and Bria Garmon, 14-21, 21-16, 15-11.
Hoven and Moreland also rallied on court two, defeating Kelsie Sager and Evelyn Griffith of UCA, 23-25, 21-18, 15-13.
UCA's only win came on court one as Faith Hasness and Carol Barbosa defeated
