Kennedy Johnson was named Sun Belt Conference Softball Player of the Week.
Johnson paced ULM's offense. She went 6-for-10 on the weekend with two home runs, two doubles, two runs scored and six RBIs. In the 5-4 series-opening win on Friday, Johnson was 2-for-3 at the plate, including a 2-run home run as the Warhawks snapped an eight-game slide to the Bobcats and picked up their first win against Texas State since 2017. In ULM's 10-2 victory on Saturday to clinch the series, she was 3-for-4 with another 2-run home run, which expanded ULM's lead to 5-2. Johnson also had two doubles in the contest and finished with four RBIs. In Sunday's series finale, she went 1-for-3.
She is the first Warhawk to earn a weekly SBC honor this season.
ULM visits Coastal Carolina for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series starting Thursday in Conway, South Carolina.
