MONROE, La. – ULM track and field athletes won gold in 15 events on the second day of the Warhawk Classic at Groseclose Track at Brown Stadium. Overall, ULM won 17 events over the two-day meet.
For the women,
Jasmine Williams led the way by taking first place in three events. She won the 100-meter hurdles in 13.63 seconds, the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.17 and was part of the winning 4x400-meter relay team with Brittany Roberson,
Kimone Campbell and
Fiebe Tengrootenhuysen in 3:48.14.
Campbell also took first place in the 1500 meters in 4:43.21. Roberson won the 400 in 55.88.
In the field for the women,
Alivia Busch won the shot put at 49-1 3/4, while
Eunice Ilunga Mbuyi won the triple jump with a leap of 43-5 1/4. She also won the long jump on Friday.
On the men's side,
Joseph White,
Jhavonte Perry,
Brandon Lewis and
Keith Robinson teamed up for a time of 41 seconds flat in the 4x100-meter relay.
Devin Bilbo won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.45.
Stephen Mengich took the 1500 in 3:55.33 and
Rojs Puks won the 3000 in 9:36.65.
In the field for the men,
Cole Burgess won the pole vault, clearing 15-2 1/4.
Bailey Couch took the javelin with a throw of 196-4.
Riley Finnegan won the discus at 165-11.
Joseph McEvoy won the high jump by clearing 6-8 1/4.
ULM wraps up the regular season at the Maroon and White Invitational at Mississippi State on Friday and Saturday.
