MONROE, La. – Kickoff times have been set for ULM's first three football opponents in 2022, according to joint announcements made by the Sun Belt Conference and TV networks on Thursday, May 26.

ULM opens its second season under head coach Terry Bowden with a nationally televised road game at Texas on Saturday, Sept. 3, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on the Longhorn Network.

The 2022 season opener marks just the second meeting between the Warhawks and Texas. The teams first met in the (Sept. 5) 2009 season opener, with the No. 2 Longhorns posting a 59-20 victory over ULM in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

The Warhawks play their 2022 home opener in Malone Stadium on Sept. 10 against Nicholls at 7 p.m. CT. It marks ULM's first matchup against the Colonels since Week 2 of the 2015 season. ULM leads the all-time series against Nicholls, 23-3, including a nine-game winning streak. The home opener will be streamed live on ESPN3.

On Sept. 17, ULM makes its fourth trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium to face likely preseason No. 1 Alabama, with kickoff set for 3 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series, 2-1, including a 34-0 win over the Warhawks in the most recent meeting on Sept. 26, 2015.

In its second appearance in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 17, 2007, ULM, which entered the game as a 24 1/2-point underdog, stunned Alabama, led by first-year head coach Nick Saban, 21-14. The Warhawks scored the upset despite being outgained in total yards, 409-282. The ULM defense recorded four takeaways, including two interceptions by Quintez Secka, turned away three potential scoring drives in the fourth quarter. Secka's 42-yard interception return set up Calvin Dawson's 1-yard touchdown run as the Warhawks tied the score at 7-all on the first play of the second quarter. Trailing 14-7, ULM put together a 10-play, 80-yard drive and pulled even again at 14-all on Frank Goodin's 13-yard TD run behind right tackle with 7:37 left in the first half. The Warhawks took the lead for good at 21-14 with 3:05 remaining in the third quarter as Kinsmon Lancaster capped off a 10-play, 65-yard drive with an 11-yard scoring strike to Marty Humphrey. On the final play of the third quarter, ULM's special teams delivered a key play as LaGregory Sapp blocked Leigh Tiffin's 36-yard field-goal attempt to preserve the 7-point advantage.

ULM football season-ticket packages are on sale, ranging from $60 to $155. Faculty/staff and young alumni discounts are available as well as a 4-seat family plan.

In addition to Nicholls, ULM's five-game home schedule includes Sun Belt Conference showdowns against the Ragin' Cajuns (Sept. 24), Coastal Carolina (Oct. 8/Homecoming), Texas State (Nov. 5) and Southern Miss (Nov. 26).
