MONROE, La. – The ULM women's basketball team will open play in the new-look Sun Belt Conference at Fant-Ewing Coliseum on New Year's weekend and face three of the four new members of the league in 2022-23.

The Sun Belt Conference released the women's basketball conference slate on Wednesday afternoon. All game times will be announced later.

"The Sun Belt is one of the toughest and most exciting leagues in the country in women's basketball," head coach Brooks Donald Williams said. "We are excited about the new members and the talent and respect they add. Every day will be a fight and one we look forward to."

The Warhawks then go on the road for four consecutive games, starting with its first meeting as conference foes with Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia, on Jan. 5. It is the first time for ULM and the Monarchs to clash since the two met in the NCAA Tournament Final Four in 1985 in Austin, Texas, a 57-47 win for ODU.

The road trip continues Jan. 7 at Coastal Carolina before moving on to Troy on Jan. 12 and SBC-newcomer Southern Miss on Jan. 14.

ULM then comes home for four games, battling Texas State on Jan. 19 and Georgia Southern on Jan. 21 at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The home stand continues the following weekend when Marshall makes its first-ever visit to Monroe on Jan. 26. It is just the second all-time meeting between the schools, with the Warhawks defeating the Thundering Herd, 69-67, on Nov. 22, 2008, in Huntington, West Virginia. The stretch of home games concludes with South Alabama on Jan. 28.

The Warhawks head back out on the road for the next three games, visiting the Ragin' Cajuns on Feb. 2, Texas State on Feb. 4 and South Alabama on Feb. 9.

ULM plays its final three home games of the year starting on Feb. 11 against Troy and continuing Feb. 16 vs. the Ragin' Cajuns before closing out its Fant-Ewing Coliseum slate for the season on Feb. 18 vs. Southern Miss.

The Warhawks wrap up the regular season on the road, heading to Arkansas State on Feb. 22 and App State on Feb. 24.

The ULM women's basketball non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
