HAMMOND, La. – The ULM volleyball team lost Saturday's five-set exhibition at Southeastern, 3-2.
After the Lions took the first set, 25-20, ULM bounced back to take the second set, 25-22. Southeastern then took the next two sets, 25-20 and 25-21. The Warhawks won the fifth set, 15-8.
Due to restrictions with the statistics program forcing the end of the match after SLU won the fourth set, stats are only available for the first four sets.
Madeline Williams and
Madeline Villarreal led ULM with 10 kills each.
Mariana Volponi e Giordan and
Bailey Roberson had 13 assists apiece.
Taylor Thomas led the way with 18 digs and
Cameron Rogers picked up 11 digs.
The Warhawks open the 2022 season at the Texan Invitational in Stephenville, Texas. ULM faces Northwestern State in the season-opener at 1 p.m. Friday, Fairleigh Dickinson at 10 a.m. Saturday and the host, Tarleton State, at 5 p.m. Saturday.
