MONROE, La. – ULM stayed unbeaten on the season with a 4-0 win over Jackson State Friday night at Brown Stadium.
ULM wasted little time getting on the board as Kédie Johnson scored to put the Warhawks up, 1-0, in the sixth minute.
The Warhawks had five shots on goal in the first half but could not add to the lead.
In the second half, ULM extended the lead in the 51st minute when Johnson scored on a penalty kick. The lead ballooned to 3-0 in the 69th minute when
Eve Blakey scored her first career goal, coming off an assist from Johnson.
The Warhawks capped the scoring in the 72nd minute as
Efi Brame scored off an assist from
Santana Pressley.
ULM outshot JSU, 19-6, including a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Mickaela Leal made the one save for her second shutout of the season. Lena Göppel led ULM with four shots, including two on goal.
The Warhawks are back in action at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mississippi Valley State.
