MATCH NOTES
MONROE, La. -Â The ULM volleyball team continues Sun Belt Conference play with a pair of road matches at South Alabama. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday at Jaguar Gym in Mobile.
The Warhawks (6-10 overall, 0-2 SBC) opened Sun Belt Conference action by dropping a pair of matches to Texas State, 3-0 last Thursday and 3-1 last Friday, at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. ULM's 25-15 win in the first set on Friday snapped a 44-set losing streak to Texas State dating back to the 2016 season.
Madeline Williams led ULM on the weekend with 23 kills while hitting .294.
Bailey Roberson tallied 52 assists.
Cameron Rogers added 29 digs.
South Alabama (7-7 overall, 1-1 SBC) began SBC play with a 3-1 win last Friday at Southern Miss. The Golden Eagles responded with a 3-2 victory last Saturday. Hannah Maddux picked up 48 kills, good for 5.33 kills per set, on the series, while Kailey Keeble had 96 assists and Rachel Hickey had 35 digs.

Texas State picked up a 3-0 sweep over ULM (25-11, 25-17, 25-20) to open Sun Belt Conference play Thursday night, Sept. 23, at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Madeline Williams led ULM (6-9 overall, 0-1 SBC) with nine kills, while
Bailey Roberson had 24 assists and
Cameron Rogers tallied 16 digs. Janell Fitzgerald led Texas State (9-4, 1-0) with 13 kills, while Emily DeWalt added 42 assists and Alyssa Ortega and Maggie Walsh had 14 digs each.
ULM volleyball fell in the second match of its Sun Belt season-opening weekend as Texas State topped the Warhawks, 3-1 (25-15, 12-25, 18-25, 22-25), Friday afternoon, Sept. 24, at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.Â
Williams had 14 kills for her 11th match of the year with double digits in that category. She also led the team in blocks. Three Bobcats logged 10 or more kills with Jada Gardner with a match-high 16 and DeWalt had a match-best 13 digs. Rogers had 12 digs for the Warhawks' top total.
SERIES HISTORY -
South Alabama leads the series, 16-7. USA has won five straight matches in the series, including last year's 3-0 win at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. ULM last beat South Alabama, 3-2, on Nov. 4, 2016, in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The Warhawks have never won against South Alabama in Mobile. USA has won 10 of the last 11 meetings.

ULM ranks inside the Top 50 in NCAA Division I in team total attacks (sixth at 2,198, leads Sun Belt Conference), team digs (16th at 922, leads SBC), team attacks per set (45th at 36.03, second in SBC) and team kills (50th at 700, second in SBC).

Cameron Rogers is 40th nationally in total digs (237, fourth in SBC),
Madeline Williams is 47th in points (224.5, fourth in SBC) and 69th in total kills (188, fifth in SBC) and
