TIP-OFFÂ Â Â
• The ULM women's basketball team wraps up a two-game homestand on Tuesday (Dec. 12)  when the Warhawks battle Northwestern State in Fant-Ewing Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.
• The Warhawks (7-1) have rattled off seven-straight wins and are coming off a 101-38 win versus Champion Christian on Tuesday afternoon. The Warhawks forced the Tigers to commit 39 turnovers and ULM racked up 31 steals in the seventh consecutive victory for the Warhawks.
Daisha Bradford and
Sania Wells both totaled five steals in the win. ULM capitalized on Champion Christian's turnovers and poured in 56 points from turnovers.Â
Offensively, all 11 Warhawks on
Missy Bilderback's roster scored in the contest. The Warhawks shot 49.3% from the field and swished nine three-point baskets. Bradford eclipsed the 25-point mark for the fifth time this season and registered a game-high 26 points. Wells (14 points),
Lauren Gross (11 points) and
Katlyn Manuel (10 points) all finished in double figures for ULM. Manuel grabbed 11 rebounds for her first double-double this season.
Olivia Knight handed out six assists while Bradford and Wells both finished with four.
• ULM's 2023-24 roster features eight returning players and eight newcomers, with all eight newcomers being transfers from NCAA Division I schools. Nunu Bradford (Clemson),
Jakayla Johnson (Auburn) and
Sania Wells (Auburn) all played for Power 5 schools, while
Lauren Gross (Southern Miss),
Brianna Harris (Troy),
Dee Haymer (South Alabama) and
Chardai Watkins (Southern Miss) all transferred from inside the Sun Belt Conference.
Kyjai Miles transfers in from Central Arkansas. Four of the transfers, Bradford, Haymer, Johnson and Miles, all played for
Missy Bilderback at Jones College. Returning player
Olivia Knight also played for Bilderback at Jones.
TUESDAY'S GAME BASICSÂ Â Â
ULM and Northwestern State meet for the 94th time in program history at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The Warhawks have won seven-consecutive games, while the Demons travel to Monroe with a four-game winning streak.
Northwestern State holds a 53-40 edge in the series history. ULM won three-consecutive games versus NSU from 2018-2020 before the Demons claimed the last two meetings in 2021 & 2022.
The Warhawks' 7-1 start is the best start for ULM women's basketball since the 2006-07 season. The 2006-07 team began the season with a 10-1 record.

PREVIEWING NORTHWESTERN STATE
After falling to 0-4 to start the season, Northwestern State ripped off victories in its last four games. The Demons outlasted Tarleton on Dec. 6, 59-51, for its fourth-straight victory. The last time NSU won four-straight games was during the 2015-16 season. During the winning streak, the Demons have outscored opponents 292-165.
The Demons' lineup features two players that average above 10 points per game. Jiselle Woodson, a senior guard from Corner, Ala., averages 12.1 points per game and has made 15-of-41 attempts from beyond the arc. Melbourne, Australia senior Sharna Ayres has compiled a scoring average of 10.3 points per game in the early stages of the season. Ayres leads the Southland Conference in three-point percentage (32.1) and three pointers per game (2.25). Jenny Ntambwe, a sophomore from Coon Rapids, Minn., is the Demons' leading rebounder and has grabbed 6.3 rebounds per game. Defensively, Jasmin Dixon has racked up 11 blocks and averages 1.57 blocks/game, both second in the Southland Conference. Ayres and Woodson have combined to total 22 steals, with Ayres leading the way with 12 steals.
Anna Nimz returns for her fourth season leading NSU women's basketball. Nimz played collegiately at Pittsburg State and was selected the Pittsburg State Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year for the 2006-07 school year. She averaged 10.9 points and 3.1 assists per game for the Gorillas.Â
