MONROE, La. – ULM piled up seven runs in the sixth inning and rolled to a run-rule victory over Grambling, 14-1 in seven innings, on Tuesday night at Lou St. Amant Field.
The Warhawks took advantage of five walks, three hits and one error to pile up seven runs in the sixth.

Cardell Thibodeaux drew back-to-back bases loaded walks to score
Michelle Artzberger and
Travis Washburn, respectively.
Carson Jones doubled down the left-field line to clear the bases and then scored after a pair of wild pitches to take the lead to 14-1.
ULM opened the scoring in the first inning on a bases-loaded walk to Davis, bringing in
Zack Floyd for the 1-0 lead. The Warhawks added to the lead in the third inning as Haggard hit a 3-run home run to left-center for a 4-0 advantage. Grambling picked up a run in the top of the fourth on Trevor Hatton's solo home run, which accounted for the Tigers' only hit of the game. ULM added two more runs in the bottom of the inning, as Jones scored on an error and Dupont's sacrifice fly plated Floyd to go ahead, 6-1.
Shawn Dalton Weatherbee added an RBI single in the fifth inning, scoring Haggard for a 7-1 lead.
Weatherbee, Davis and Jones had two hits each for ULM, with Haggard driving in four runs and Jones three. Davis tallied two RBIs.
Hollis Huff (1-0) threw six strong innings for his first win, allowing one run on one hit with one walk and two strikeouts. Jacorey Boudreaux took the loss for Grambling, firing two innings, allowing one run on two hits with three walks and one strikeout.
ULM opens a three-game weekend series at Incarnate Word at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
