NEW ORLEANS – The ULM tennis team dropped Friday's dual match at New Orleans, 4-3.
 
UNO took the doubles point as Ana Kouchnareva and Ksenia Reznitskaya won at No. 3 doubles, 6-0, over Giovana Pereira and Mackenzie King, and Didi Bredberg and Raluca Puscas downed Oleksandra Balaba and Angela del Campo, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles.
 
UNO stretched the lead to 2-0 as Bredberg defeated Alessandra Anghel at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2. The Privateers went ahead 3-0 at No. 6 singles as Puscas beat Tamara Bachmann, 6-1, 6-4. UNO clinched the match as Kate Kalistratova topped King, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 5 singles.
 
ULM claimed the final three singles matches of the day, as Alice Klinteby won at No. 3 singles over Laurie Barendse, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, Balaba won at No. 2 singles against Kouchnareva, 3-6, 7-5, 10-8, and Pereira won at No. 4 singles against Tristanne Dechoux, 6-7 (8-10), 6-3, 10-8.
 
ULM returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tulane.
