SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State won five of the six singles matches to rally back for a 5-2 win over ULM to conclude the regular season Saturday at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
 
The Warhawks claimed the doubles point to open the dual. Alessandra Anghel and Angela Del Campo Suarez combined for a 6-1 win over Texas State's Kate Malazonia and Mae McCutcheon on court one. The Bobcats bounced back with a win on court two, as Sofia Fortuno and Maria Lora defeated Oleksandra Balaba and Mackenzie King, 7-5. ULM picked up a thrilling win on court three to take the point, as Alice Klinteby and Giovanna Pereira picked up a 7-6 (7-1) win over Jadeh Chan and Emily Niers to put ULM up 1-0 in the dual.
 
In singles play, Texas State tied the match at 1 as Kiana Graham won over Anghel on court one, 6-3, 6-2. The Bobcats took the lead on court six as McCutcheon beat Tamara Bachmann, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1. ULM tied it back up at 2 on court three, as Klinteby won in three sets over Malazonia, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Texas State regained the lead for good on court five, as Fortuno held off Mariam Hatem, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. The Bobcats sealed the win on court two, as Niers defeated Balaba, 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (8-6). Texas State also took court four, as Andrea Pineda won over Pereira, 7-5, 7-5.
 
ULM opens play at the Sun Belt Conference Championship at the Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree City, Georgia, with a first-round match on Wednesday. The bracket will be announced in the coming days.
