Game Times Announced for First 3 Weeks of 2023 Football Season

MONROE, La. – Game times have been set for ULM's first three football opponents in 2023, according to joint announcements made by the Sun Belt Conference and TV networks on Wednesday, May 31.
 
ULM opens its third season under head coach Terry Bowden against Army West Point on Saturday, Sept. 2, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. CT in Malone Stadium. The network will be announced at a later date. Army will become the first United States service academy to play a football game on the ULM campus. The 2023 season and home opener against the Black Knights has been designated as a "White Out."
 
It marks ULM's third meeting against Army (0-2) since the 2020 season, with the Black Knights winning the two previous games (37-7, on Sept. 12, 2020; and 48-24 on Oct. 22, 2022). It also marks the Warhawks' first season opener played at home since Aug. 31, 2019, against Grambling.
 
The Warhawks will play their second-straight home game on Sept. 9 against Lamar at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The last time ULM opened a season with consecutive home games came in 2014 when the Warhawks started 2-0 with back-to-back victories over Wake Forest (17-10) and Idaho (38-31). It also marks Lamar's first trip to Malone Stadium since Oct. 29, 1988. The Warhawks lead the all-time series against the Cardinals, 9-6-1.
 
On Sept. 16, ULM makes its fifth trip to Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, to face Texas A&M, with kickoff set for 3 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. The Aggies lead the all-time series, 4-0, including a 48-10 win over the Warhawks in the most recent meeting on Sept. 15, 2018.
 
ULM football season tickets are now on sale, with packages ranging from $72 to $192. Faculty/staff and young alumni discounts are available as well as a 4-seat family plan. 
 
In addition to Army and Lamar, ULM's six-game home schedule includes Sun Belt Conference showdowns against App State (Sept. 30), South Alabama (Oct. 7), Arkansas State (Oct. 28/Homecoming) and Troy (Nov. 11).
