MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team returns to the boot when they take on Grambling at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Willis Reed Court at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center in Grambling.

ULM stands at 1-2 after the Eastern Illinois Panther Classic last weekend. It dropped the first matchup against EIU on Friday after a close set one win lifted the Panthers to a 3-0 win (25-22, 25-13, 25-17). The Warhawks won in dramatic fashion against Akron 3-2 (25-14, 22-25, 17-25, 25-16, 17-15) for head coach Matt Kearns' first win. They couldn't keep the momentum Saturday when they lost 3-0 to Valparaiso (25-21, 25-19, 25-13).

Ariana Brown leads the team in kills with 32 (2.91 per set). Bailey Roberson produced 54 assists over the weekend. Cameron Rogers had 38 digs.

Logan Jeffus earned All-Tournament Team honors this past weekend. She posted 25 total kills (2.27 per set) and was responsible for two of the final three points to secure the win Friday night.

Grambling State (0-3 overall) comes off a winless weekend at the Southeastern Tournament. The Tigers suffered 0-3 defeats to Southeastern, UTEP and Washington.

Zyonn Smith leads the team in kills with 18 (2.0 per set) and has 29 digs. Kai Williams produced 16 kills over the weekend (1.89 per set). Nyah Ellis leads the team with 35 digs.

Series History
The Warhawks (1-2 overall) hold a 19-2 record all-time against the Tigers dating back to the 1990 season. They've won eight out of the last nine matches dating back to 2011. Grambling State won the last matchup in 2021 with a 3-2 score.

Look Ahead
The Warhawks travel to their second tournament of the season in St. Charles, Missouri, at the Lindenwood Invitational. They will face Indiana State and Lindenwood on Friday before taking on Austin Peay on Saturday.
