Warhawk Volleyball Visits Jackson State

MONROE, La. – ULM volleyball travels to the capital of Mississippi in Jackson on Tuesday when they play Jackson State.
 
ULM stands with a 1-6 record after being swept in the Lindenwood Invitational last weekend. It lost a close match against Indiana State, 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23), and lost to the host team in Lindenwood, 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14), on Friday. The next day, the Warhawks dropped a heartbreaker versus Austin Peay, 3-2 (24-26, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18, 15-8).
 
Brynn Botkin was named to the All-Tournament team for the Lindenwood Invitational. She produced 30 kills in three matches and had 29 digs at the invitational. She played in all 13 sets in the three-match series.
 
Ariana Brown remains the team leader in kills for the season at 72 (2.57 per set). Bailey Roberson leads the team in assists with 136 and Cameron Rogers has a team-leading 116 digs (4.30 per set).
 
Jackson State sits at 0-3 after being swept at the South Alabama Tournament. It lost 3-0 to Stephen F. Austin and Tulane and lost 3-1 to South Alabama.
 
Alexis Williams leads the team in kills with 28 (2.80 per set). Naija Gadis is the team leader in assists with 78, and Trinity Bryant has 31 digs (3.10 per set).
 
ULM leads the all-time series with a 13-3 record against Jackson State. The two teams started playing in 1994 when the Warhawks won a 3-0 contest. ULM took the last matchup against the Tigers in 2019, 3-0.
 
The Warhawks head to the 504 this weekend when they compete in the New Orleans Invitational. They face off versus Southern on Friday and New Orleans on Saturday.
