MONROE La – The ULM volleyball team continues the early Sun Belt Conference road trip this weekend when they face Arkansas State.
The Warhawks enter the weekend with an 0-4 SBC record. They dropped their two matches last weekend in Mobile, Alabama against South Alabama.
Arkansas State comes in with a 3-1 conference record. They recently split a weekend series vs. Southern Miss, which featured two five-set contests.
For ULM, sophomore
Ariana Brown enters as the biggest threat on the attack. She has culminated in 171 kills during the season (3.35 per set) and has a .178 hitting percentage. She is also a team leader in service aces with 21 (.41 per set).
Supporting in the attack are freshman
Taly Cloyd and sophomore
Hannah Redrow. Cloyd is second on the team in kills with 93 and hitting percentage with .200. Redrow has produced 85 kills in 2024, good for third on the team, and has the top hitting percentage on the team with a .211 percentage.
Setting for ULM is sophomore
Morgan Howard, who has tallied 363 assists (6.72 per set) in 2024. Howard is also tied for second on the team in service aces with 12 and has 113 digs for the season, also second most for ULM.
Senior
Cameron Rogers leads the team in defense. Her 223 digs (4.13 per set) are the most on the team. Senior
Kali Walker also ranks well in digs, being third on the team with 110.
The duo of Redrow and
Lydia Mesusan are the main blockers for the Warhawks. Redrow leads the team in total blocks with 29, and Mesusan is second most on the list with 21.
For the Red Wolves, Kaitlin Whitlock leads the team in kills with 193 (3.11 per set). Grace Wiley is also a threat on the attack with her 153 kills. Along with Whitlock's 16 service aces, Mia Maloney leads the squad in aces with 22.
The Red Wolves setter is Erin Madigan, culminating in 356 assists on the year (5.74 per set). Valeria Ortiz also ranks well in assists with 299 in 2024.
On defense, Sarah Martinez is the tip defender with her team-leading 276 digs (4.45 per set). Leading in blocks is Daedrianna Cail with 68 total blocks, including 10 solo blocks.
Game one starts on Friday, October 11 at 6 p.m., and game two serves on Saturday, October 12 at 1 p.m.
