MONROE, La. -- Makai Willis led the way with 18 points while
Coltie Young scored 16 and
Renars Sondors netted 15 as the ULM men's basketball team (2-3) snapped a three-game losing streak after cruising to a 110-48 victory over Ecclesia on Thursday (Nov. 14) night at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Five Warhawks registered double figures as ULM shot 56% of its shots from the floor on a 42-for-75 shooting night. As a team, ULM distributed 31 assists and cashed in a season-high 13 three-pointers.
Willis' 18 points was a season high with his performance including 5-for-9 shooting with four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Young and Sondors made four three-pointers apiece and Sondors was one rebound shy from a double-double.

Jalen Bolden handed out four assists to go along with four rebounds.
Tyreese Watson,
Kelton Williams and
P.D. McCraney all dished out six assists each. Williams finished with a team-high three steals.
Bolden sank the Warhawks' first three-pointer of the night to give ULM an early 8-2 lead. After the Royals answered with a triple, Willis extended the Warhawks' lead to seven after scoring on consecutive possessions. Watson jumped a pass and dribbled down the floor for a fastbreak layup at the other end to put ULM ahead by double digits with 14:50 left in the first. Watson completed a 12-0 scoring run with a jumper to push ULM's lead to 24-7.
Williams skipped a pass to Hancock at the 10:21 mark that increased the Warhawks' lead to 20. A Wilson three-pointer and a steal-and-score pulled the Warhawks ahead 48-18 with less than five minutes remaining in the opening half. The Warhawks finished the half on a 10-0 scoring run that featured a layup by Young, a three by Sondors and a triple and layup by Young. ULM held a commanding 63-23 lead after 20 minutes of action.
Sondors and Young continued to string three-pointers together for ULM as they both connected on shots from beyond the arc within the first four minutes of the second half. A dunk by Bolden and a layup by Willis increased the Warhawks' lead to 80-33 with 14:55 left in the game. ULM led by over 50 points for the final 12 minutes of the game after Bolden and Willis added four points to ULM's total.
Sondors and Williams swished consecutive three-pointers and ULM led 99-38 with less than 10 minutes to go. Ecclesia was unable to cut ULM's lead by less than 53 down the stretch.
Ajay Tew made a jumper in the paint and another floating jump shot in the final minutes to finish with four points and finished the dominating night on a high note for the Warhawks.
The ULM men's basketball team will be back inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Monday (Nov. 18) night to take on Southeastern Louisiana at 6:30 p.m.
