MONROE, La. – ULM volleyball dropped its final match of the 2025 season 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-15) to Georgia State Friday afternoon.

The Panthers (18-9, 9-7 Sun Belt) started the first set with a 5-3 advantage before the Warhawks (10-20, 1-15 Sun Belt) scored four unanswered to take the lead. ULM held things in check in the early portion as it held a 13-12 lead midway through. Georgia State caught fire, scoring eight of the next nine points to take control of the set. The home team never got within five the rest of the way and found themselves down 1-0 in the match after one.

Set two featured a strong Panther start with a 7-3 lead at a ULM timeout. The Warhawks clawed back into it with four kills and trailed by a point. After some back-and-forth action from both teams, ULM scored three in a row to take the lead at 14-13 to force a Georgia State timeout.

With the score at 18-17 in favor of the Warhawks, the Panthers scored four of their own to take the lead late in the set. With the Atlanta team holding set point, ULM executed a final push with four points unanswered, but it was not enough as a final kill ended the set.

Georgia State had another strong start in the third set, cruising to an 8-2 lead. The Warhawks responded in kind with five unanswered points to trail by one. With a narrow 12-11 GSU lead, it powered a 7-1 run to put the set out of reach. In the end, it was a ten-point set loss in the third and a sweep to end the season.

Amelia Piekut led in kills with 12, while
Chavon Weaver collected five blocks at the line.
Morgan Howard totaled 26 assists, and Piekut led defensively as well with 12 digs.
