MONROE, La. — ULM Softball has revealed its 2026 schedule, featuring 56 games. The team will travel to four tournaments and host one as well. The Warhawks are looking to continue the success the team found last season, seeing their winningest season since 1997 under Sun Belt Coach of the Year Molly Fichtner.
 
"We're really excited about the schedule we've put together for this spring," said Coach Fichtner. "Our preseason slate features several regional-caliber opponents that will challenge us early to prepare us for conference play. We've got a great mix of returners and new faces, and depth we've added through our transfers and freshmen gives us a lot of confidence heading into the season."
 
The Warhawks will open the season in Lake Charles, Louisiana, competing in a tournament hosted by McNeese from February 6-8. The home opener for ULM will be a midweek on February 10, hosting Stephen F. Austin. Another road trip for a tournament follows up, as ULM competes in a tournament hosted by FGCU (Feb. 13-15), seeing the Eagles for the first time ever.
 
A trip down I-20 will also occur in February, as ULM will face Louisiana Tech in the last nonconference meeting in Ruston on February 19. The Warhawks will then host their annual Best on the Bayou Tournament (Feb. 20-22) before traveling to another local foe in Grambling (Feb. 25). To conclude the month of February, ULM will travel to compete in a tournament hosted by Ole Miss. 
 
The Warhawks will return home on March 4 to face Grambling before traveling to the final tournament at Central Arkansas (March 7-8). Central Arkansas will then come down to Monroe on March 10 before ULM gears up for Sun Belt play. March 13 will bring conference play for the Warhawks, as they travel to Texas State for the Sun Belt opening series. The softball team will remain on the road to take on Coach Fichtner's alma mater, Alabama, on March 17.
 
A home stretch for the Warhawks comes in March in two conference series and two midweek games. March 20-22 will have ULM hosting South Alabama and March 27-29 will bring the Ragin' Cajuns to Monroe. Southeastern will also make the trip to the ULM Softball Complex (March 24) along with Alcorn (March 31). 
 
The month of April will see ULM traveling east to face Georgia Southern (April 2-4), before the team returns home to host Louisiana Tech on April 8. A Sun Belt East opponent in App State will travel south to Monroe for a series from April 10 to 12. Back-to-back road trips in April for the Warhawks has the team heading back to the east coast for Georgia State (April 17-19) and then to Troy (April 24-26). The conclusion of the regular season will come as a series at home against Southern Miss from April 30 to May 2. 
 
The Sun Belt Softball Championship will take place May 5-9, hosted by the Ragin' Cajuns in Lafayette, Louisiana.
 
Season tickets for softball will be available at a later date.
