SAN MARCOS, Texas -- The ULM men's basketball team (7-21, 3-12 Sun Belt Conference) dropped a road game to Texas State (14-14, 7-8) 80-63 on Wednesday (Feb. 19) night at Strahan Arena in San Marcos, Texas.

Coltie Young finished with a game-high 18 points and made six 3-point buckets on 10 attempts and
Makai Willis recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Tyreese Watson scored 12 points while
Micah Caster was the fourth Warhawk to reach double figures with 10 points.
Texas State was led by Tylan Pope, who scored 16 points, and Christian Turner and Tyrel Morgan each scored 15 apiece. Turner added 10 boards to complete a double-double. Joshuan O'Garro rounded out the double figure scorers with 11 points.
The Bobcats outrebounded the Warhawks by a margin of 31 (55-24) and outscored ULM 36-16 in the paint. The Bobcats scored 17 second-chance points and held ULM to just three. Texas State connected on nine 3-point buckets while ULM made eight. ULM shot 21-for-28 at the free throw line.
The Bobcats scored the first 13 points of the game and held ULM scoreless through the first three-and-a-half minutes. Watson sank four consecutive free throws to bring the Texas State advantage to six with 9:43 remaining in the first half.
AD Diedhiou went 2-for-2 at the line to whittle the Texas State lead to 20-15 with under eight minutes in the first half.
Jalen Bolden picked up an offensive rebound and a basket with just over one minute remaining to keep the Bobcats' lead at 10. Texas State scored the final five points of the first half and maintained a 40-25 lead at the half.
Caster scored ULM's first points of the second half on a fast break layup. The Bobcats built their largest lead of the game in the first eight minutes of the second half with Pope making two free throws to increase the Bobcats' lead to 27. Young made a trio of 3-point buckets and brought ULM back within 11 points with just over 2:30 remaining in the game. The Bobcats closed out the game on a 9-3 run and took the season series between the Warhawks.
ULM men's basketball will play in its final road game of the regular season on Saturday (Feb. 22) in Jonesboro at Arkansas State with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
