MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team (3-8, 0-5 Sun Belt) dropped their matchup against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (10-5, 4-1 Sun Belt) on Sunday morning (March 23) at Heard Stadium. The Chanticleers secured an early lead, clinching the doubles point for the 1-0 lead. In singles action, the Warhawks fought hard, but Coastal Carolina closed out three singles matches for the win, 4-0.
 
Duo Cado/Hatem dropped the match on court one. Molina/Krnjic also fell quickly, securing the doubles point for the Chanticleers and leaving court three unfinished.
 
In singles, Vanja Cado dropped the match in straight sets on court two. Raquel Alvaro and Enna Krnjic also fell in straight sets, securing the win for Coastal Carolina in singles play. Mariam Hatem held it close in the first set, but left the match unfinished. Camila Molina Barranco and Mariia Iordanova won their first sets as well, but both courts were abandoned after the Chanticleers secured the win.
 
ULM Tennis will be back at home on Saturday (March 29), taking on Marshall at 10 a.m. to attempt to clinch a conference win.
