MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team (3-9, 0-6 Sun Belt) dropped their match against Marshall (14-4, 3-3 Sun Belt) on Friday morning (March 28) at Heard Stadium. The Herd secured an early lead by clinching the doubles point. In singles action, the Warhawks fought hard, but Marshall closed out three singles matches for the win, 4-0.
Duo Iordanova/Hatem dropped the match on court one. Molina/Krnjic went unfinished in their match on court two, as a forfeit due to injury clinched the win for the Herd.
In singles,
Mariia Iordanova dropped the match in straight sets on court four.
Enna Krnjic also fell in straight sets, securing the win for Marshall in singles play.
Mariam Hatem held it close in the first set, but left the match unfinished.
Camila Molina Barranco and
Tingyi Li left courts two and three abandoned after the Herd secured the win.
ULM Tennis will be back at home on Sunday (March 30), taking on App State at 10 a.m. fight for a conference win.
