MONROE, La. – The ULM tennis team (3-14, 0-10 Sun Belt) fell to South Alabama (13-5, 6-3 Sun Belt) at Heard Stadium on Saturday afternoon (April 12) to conclude play at home. After claiming the doubles point and a forfeited singles match, the Jaguars picked up two singles wins to win, 4-0.
Delien Klienhans and Rio Maeda claimed the 6-1 win over
Mariam Hatem and
Mariia Iordanova on the first court, with Chems Doha Zeghlouli and Kenza Elakili going unfinished with
Enna Krnjic and
Camila Molina Barranco due to a forfeited third doubles match.
On court six, a point was clinched for the Jaguars through a forfeit, leaving only two more points left to clinch the win. Delien Klienhans defeated
Mariam Hatem in straight sets and Jade Marie defeated
Mariia Iordanova in two sets for the final two points, completing the match.
Tingyi Li held on in the third singles match against Manal Ennaciri, falling with a 7-5 score and leading in the second set before the court went unfinished.
The Warhawks will conclude the season on Saturday (April 19) at 10 a.m. against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg.
