MONROE, La. – Both Warhawk basketball teams will be participating in the third MAC-SBC Challenge, with the men's basketball team traveling to Northern Illinois and the women's team hosting Eastern Michigan on November 3, in matchups jointly announced by the Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference Tuesday (July 1) morning.
The scheduling alliance will act as the season-opening game in 2025-26, with 13 SBC schools participating.
The men's basketball matchup against the Huskies and the women's against the Eagles will be the first series matchups in program history.
The MAC-SBC Challenge comes at the recommendation of the Sun Belt's strategic planning committees for men's and women's basketball, as the conference looks to return to its roots and bolster its success on the hardwood.
Each MAC-SBC Challenge game will be carried on an ESPN platform.
The remainder of the 2025-26 ULM basketball schedules will be announced at a later date.
