MONROE, La. — ULM head women's basketball coach Scotty Fletcher another addition to his staff for the 2025-26 season on Thursday (July 10). Elise Johnson joins the staff as the newest assistant coach and director of basketball operations for the Warhawks.

Johnson arrives from Mississippi State, where she spent two seasons with the women's basketball team as a student manager. Prior to her time with women's basketball, she spent a season with the football team as a recruiting intern. After working under Mississippi State head coach Sam Purcell, she was promoted to head student manager to close out her collegiate career.

"I'm super excited and fired up to add Elise to my staff on The Bayou," said head coach Scotty Fletcher. "Her past experience at Mississippi State will pay dividends in our daily operations. Her energy and passion for this position will be on full display daily. I believe it's critical to hire coaches and put them in an area where they can strive and be successful, she will provide that for the women's basketball program with her attention to detail as we navigate today's climate in college athletics."

Johnson earned her bachelor's degree in sports administration, with a concentration in business, from Mississippi State in May 2025.
