MONROE, La. — ULM head women's golf coach
Rachel Pollock announced an addition to her staff for the 2025-26 season on Thursday (Aug. 7). Olivia Schmidt joins the staff as the newest assistant coach for the Warhawk golf team.
Schmidt arrives in Monroe after competing with Arkansas State from 2018-23. Her first three seasons at Arkansas State coincided with Pollock's time as assistant coach for the Red Wolves.
"I'm incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to come to ULM and work under the coach [
Rachel Pollock] who shaped so much of my own journey," said Schmidt. "It's a full-circle moment, and I feel truly blessed to contribute to a program with such a strong winning culture. I can't wait to get to work, learn, grow, and pour back into the next generation of athletes."
While in Jonesboro, Schmidt claimed Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2022, was a 2022 regional qualifier and was named All-Sun Belt three times. She holds seven Arkansas State school records and contributed to eight single season records while with the Red Wolves. The Edmond, Okla., native also picked up four individual wins and registered 46 rounds of par or better.
Since completing her time at Arkansas State, Schmidt competes on Epson, WAPT, Ladies European Tour and LET Access Experience.
"I am thrilled have Olivia join our program," said Head Coach
Rachel Pollock. "She brings such valuable experience from the college level as well as professionally. Olivia's passion to give back, share her knowledge and help develop our student-athletes is evident. I'm confident that she will make an immediate impact and add to the culture of winning we have created here at ULM!"
