BATON ROUGE, La. – Miller Malley,
Stafon Roach, and the men's 4x400m relay led the way as ULM track and field opened 2026 at the LSU Purple Tiger on Friday.

Malley claimed first in the men's pole vault event, posting a height of 4.65m in his Warhawk debut. Roach, who claimed All-American honors in the 2025 outdoor season, continued his dominance in the triple jump event, producing a 15.63m result, which currently ranks in the top ten in NCAA Division I.

The relay team of
Imani Coleman,
J'Marcus Sewell,
Matthew Malcolm, and
Mario Santin took first with a time of 3:17.72, and ranks as a top-50 time in Division I.

DeMarko Lawler finished behind Roach in the triple jump in his first meet, placing second with a 14.40m mark.
Benedikt Schweizer also placed second in the weight throw, with
Blake Stevens finishing behind him to round out the top three in the event as both throwers reached personal bests. Others making the podium for the men include Santin in the 600m,
Gionni Wiltz in the long jump, and Joshua Gill in the 2000m.

The women also added a pair of podium finishers for the day.
Sydney Lake started the meet in the weight throw with a 16.10m mark, good enough for third place, while
Maria Nikolaou made her indoor debut with a third-place finish in the 600m race.

The Warhawks are back in Baton Rouge next weekend, this time at the LSU Bayou Bengal on Friday, Jan. 23.
