MEET INFO -  
ULM track and field takes on the second half of the slate in Baton Rouge with the LSU Bayou Bengal taking place on Friday, Jan. 23.
 
Alongside the host school in LSU, other teams competing include in-state schools like Louisiana Tech and Southeastern Louisiana. Sun Belt Conference foe South Alabama will also be present.

MEET SCHEDULE –
The schedule for Friday aligns similarly with the LSU Purple Tiger last weekend. The field events start with the women's weight throw at 9 a.m., followed by the men's. The men's pole vault begins at 10:30 a.m. to cap off the early slate. Starting at Noon is the long jump and women's shot put, which occurs before the women's high jump and pole vault at 12:30 p.m. At 1:30 p.m. is the men's shot put, with the triple jump beginning at 2 p.m., before the day ends with the men's high jump at 2:30 p.m.
 
For the running events, the 600m kicks things off at Noon and is followed by the 60m sprints and hurdles afterwards. At 1:35 p.m. is the mile race with the 400m, 800m, and 200m races continuing the day. The 3000m event starts at 3:25 p.m., before the meet caps off with the 4x400m relay.
 
ROACH'S TRIPLE –
Junior Stafon Roach returns to the triple jump events for ULM in 2026, bearing the All-American title from the year prior. Last weekend in the event, Roach secured first place with a mark of 15.63m, ranking as the best in the Sun Belt Conference along with seventh on the NCAA South Central performance list.
 
RESOUNDING RELAY –
The Warhawks started 2026 with a statement in the 4x400m relay to end the LSU Purple Tiger. The team of Imani Coleman, J'Marcus Sewell, Matthew Malcolm, and Mario Santin took first place with a time of 3:17.72, beating out Sun Belt rival Ragin' Cajuns by a narrow .24 seconds.
 
WEIGHT THROW –
ULM posts a strong weight throw group to start the season. For the women, Sydney Lake started 2026 with a podium finish, grabbing third place with a mark of 16.10m. For the men, the duo of Benedikt Schweizer and Blake Stevens landed on the podium with second and third place. Both throwers also posted personal bests last weekend, with Schweizer producing an 18.80m result and Stevens posting an 18.28m mark
