MEET INFO -  
ULM track and field faces the indoor regular season finale in Nashville at the Vanderbilt Music City Challenge from Friday, Feb. 13 through Saturday, Feb. 14.
 
Schools featured in the two-day meet include in-state competition from Tulane and New Orleans and Sun Belt teams including Troy, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Arkansas State.

MEET SCHEDULE –
The schedule for day one starts at 9 a.m. with the men's high jump and includes both weight throws, men's pole vault and the long jumps for the field events. For the running events, the prelims for the 60m and 60m hurdles start at 3:30 p.m. followed by the Mile, 600m and 200m races during the day. The 5000m competitions start at 7:35 p.m. and caps off the day with the last event scheduled at 10:40 p.m.
 
On Saturday, the men's shot-put starts thing off at 9 a.m. and is followed by the triple jump and women's shot-put in the morning. Beginning at Noon is the women's pole vault with the day ending with the shot-put invites and pole vault invite. The running events kick off at 12:10 p.m. with the distance medley relay (DMR), with the semifinals for the 60m and 60m hurdles occurring afterwards. Starting at 2:15 p.m. is the 400m races followed by the 60m and 60m hurdles finals before the 800m at 3:45 p.m. The meet ends with the 3000m and 4x400m relays.
 
ROACH'S TRIPLE –
Junior Stafon Roach returns to the triple jump events for ULM in 2026, bearing the All-American title from the year prior. Last weekend in the event, Roach secured second place with a mark of 15.48m. At the LSU Purple Tiger, he produced a 15.63m result, which ranks as the top mark in the Sun Belt Conference and fifth on the NCAA South Central Region performance list.
 
RESOUNDING RELAY –
The Warhawks started 2026 with a statement in the 4x400m relay to end the LSU Purple Tiger. The team of Imani Coleman, J'Marcus Sewell, Matthew Malcolm, and Mario Santin took first place with a time of 3:17.72, beating out Sun Belt rival Ragin' Cajuns by a narrow .24 seconds.
 
3000M CHAMPS –
The Warhawks collected a sweep of the 3000m at the LSU Bayou Bengal in both events. For the men, Joshua Gill led the way with a first-place finish, followed closely behind by Chase Gunn in second, River Richard in third, and Silas Christie in fourth. For the women, the trio of Tuva Sandberg, Anna Naff, and Rebekka Flotho swept the podium with Lenja Wiechers rounding out the top five.
 
WEIGHT THROW –
The ULM weight throwers continued a strong start to the 2026 season at the LSU Bayou Bengal. Sydney Lake again reached the podium in the women's event, posting a season-best 16.68m mark, good for 20^th best in the NCAA South Central Region performance list. Benedikt Schweizer collected another second-place finish with a result of 19.66m, giving him a new personal best. His result gives him the eighth-place spot in the men's NCAA South Central Region performance list. Francisco Calhau joined him at the podium with a third-place result, producing a mark of 18.99m, which is good for tenth best on the list.
 
GIONNI JUMPS –
Freshman Gionni Wiltz had possibly the best performance of the team so far in 2026 last weekend. At the Wooo Pig Classic, he produced a 2.15m mark in the high jump, securing first place at the meet. His mark placed him first on the Sun Belt list, fourth in the South-Central Region, and 26^th in the NCAA. The product from Slidell, La. had his performance recognized, being honored with Sun Belt Men's Field Athlete of the Week by the conference, the first Warhawk to do so in 2026.
