Roach Wins Triple Jump to Close Out Weekend

The junior collected his first win of the outdoor season.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Stafon Roach placed first for the first time in the 2026 outdoor season for ULM track and field as day two of the Texas A&M 44 Farms Team Invitational wrapped up on Saturday.
 
The junior produced a 15.82m mark in the triple jump, good enough for first place in the event. It is also Roach's first attempt in the triple jump event since winning the event in the Sun Belt Indoor Championships.
 
Other results from the day include Gionni Wiltz and Ali Eren Unlu finishing third and fourth place in the men's high jump. Joseph Yount collected seventh place in the javelin throw.
 
The Warhawks are back next weekend for a two-meet slate with the Wake Forest Invitational and the Jim Mize Relays.
