Francisco Calhau earned Sun Belt Field Athlete of the Week honors, voted on by the conference's coaches and communications directors.

The freshman produced a personal best mark in the men's hammer throw with a 65.92m result, placing him first at the Clyde Hart Classic last weekend. The distance is ranked first in the Sun Belt and South-Central Region performance lists, while also placing ninth and 16
th on the NCAA East and Division I lists, respectively.

It is the first time the Warhawks have had an athlete earn Sun Belt field honors in the outdoor season and the third time overall in 2026.

Calhau and the Warhawks will continue competition at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational this weekend
