CARLSBAD, Calif. — Johanna Sjursen of the ULM women's golf team is set to compete as an individual at the NCAA National Championship held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California starting on Friday (May 22) and continuing through Monday (May 25).
 
Sjursen is the first Warhawk to make an appearance as an individual in the NCAA Championships. 
 
The top 15 teams and the top nine individuals following 54 holes of stroke play will play a final 18 holes to determine the individual champion and the top eight teams to advance to the national championship.

Notes on Johanna Sjursen
Sjursen finished third at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional with a score of 210 (-6), punching her ticket to Carlsbad. This season, the senior has competed in 11 events and 33 rounds with ULM, posting a stroke average of 73.1. Winning Sun Belt Golfer of the Week two times in 2026, Sjursen claimed an individual victory at the "Mo" Morial Invitational. She recorded four top five finishes, a season-low round coming at the ULM Invitational with a 64. Professionally, Sjursen qualified for the U.S. Women's Open with a two-round score of 145 in Atlanta, Georgia.
