2008-09 [Junior]: Named Louisiana Newcomer of the Year by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association after averaging a team-high 12.3 points per game in his first campaign with ULM … Appeared in all 30 games for the Warhawks and picked up the start in the final 25 … Also averaged 4.8 rebounds per contest, finishing second on the team in total boards with 143 … Had five games of 20 or more points, all against league foes, with a career-high 25 points coming against New Orleans (12/19) … Led the Warhawks in made 3-pointers (46) after converting on 40 percent of his shots from deep … Also led the team with 33 steals … Got his first career start at Auburn (12/6) and responded with a then career-high 18 points … On the season, scored 10-or-more points 18 times, including 12 marks against Sun Belt foes … Had 13 points and 14 rebounds at Colorado (12/23) for his first career double-double … Scored 10 or more points in each of the Warhawks final five contests … Finished the season ranked 16h overall in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring average (12.3), 12th in steals per game (1.10), ninth in 3-point field goal percentage (.400), and 26th in minutes per game played (28.77).
