2008-09 [Freshman]: Appeared in 28 games for the Warhawks, picking up the start four times, as a reserve point guard … Finished the season with 62 assists – second most on the team – and an assist-to-turnover ratio or 1.72 … Also averaged 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest in 15.6 minutes per game … Picked up his first career start against NCAA Tournament-participant Stephen F. Austin (11/25) and hit the game-tying off balance 26-footer with 1.8 seconds remaining … Topped double-digits for the first time after pouring in 12 at Tennessee Tech (11/29) … Also had 13 steals on the season.

High School:
A Top 40 recruit from the state of Texas, Williams lettered three years for Aldine High School in Houston, Texas ... Went to the same prep program that produced ULM senior Tony Hooper ... As a junior, posted averages of 16 points and nine assists to lead the Mustangs to a 33-2 overall record ... His nine assists per game average was the highest in the state that year ... As a senior, picked up the scoring touch and averaged 20 points per game to compliment his five assists ... Named all-district as a senior.
