2008-09 [Sophomore]: A full-time starter who enjoyed a break-out season in the post for the Warhawks … Appeared in 29 games while picking up the start in all but the season opener … Missed the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with an ankle injury … Averaged 10.2 points per game overall off 51.4 percent shooting … Also averaged a team-high 6.8 rebounds per contest (86-110-196) and led the squad with 46 deflected shots … Averaged 24.1 minutes per contest playing as the Warhawks only true low post player … Ranked fourth overall in the Sun Belt in rebounding average (6.8), ninth in field goal percentage (.514), sixth in blocked shots (1.59), first in offensive rebounds (2.97), and 11th in defensive rebounds (3.79) … Topped double digits in points 16 times on the season despite receiving constant double teams and posted seven double-doubles, six in league play … Led the Warhawks in rebounding 14 times … Posted at least one block in 21 games on the season in posting the seventh-highest single campaign mark in program history … Had a career-high six deflections against Tennessee Tech (12/29) … Ended the year ranked sixth on the career blocks list (75) … Attempted 105 free throws on the season – second-most on the squad – and converted on 69.5 percent … Also moved into eighth place all-time in career shooting percentage list (.535) after qualifying with over 300 attempts.
