2008 All-Sun Belt Second Team -- Utility Player

2008 (Junior): Named to the All-Sun Belt second team as a utility player ?after hitting .298 on the season with seven home runs and 46 RBIs...played in 55-of-58 possible games, starting 53...made 27 starts at third base and 26 starts behind the plate...finished the season with 23 extra-base hits -- tied for fourth best on the team...hit safely in 35 games, including 16 of the final 22 games of the season...drove in a run in 25 different games, including a season-best four RBIs against Middle Tennessee -- went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a home run in the game...tough out during Sun Belt Conference play hitting at a .398 clip with 12 doubles, five home runs and 31 RBIs...finished the season with 16 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI games...had multiple hits in 12 Sun Belt Conference games, including a stretch of four straight games against South Alabama and Troy (two each)...threw out seven of the 31 base ?runners that attempted to steal on him...posted a season-long hit streak of seven games...had a great eye at the plate drawing 33 walks on the season compared to just 27 strikeouts
