Biography

Nate Brown joins the ULM women's basketball team as a graduate assistant after spending five seasons as a member of the Warhawk football team.

2011 (Senior)
Played in 11 games, registering 59 tackles and four passes defended ... added one tackle for loss ... made six tackles (five solo) against Florida State ...  eight tackles (six solo) at nationally ranked TCU ... credited for eight tackles (five solo) and a pass breakup against Iowa ... half tackle for loss and a pass breakup in the end zone in first conference win at Troy ... four tackles (three solo) in conference matchup at North Texas ... five tackles against Western Kentucky ... three solo tackles at UL-Lafayette ... six tackles (four solo) against Middle Tennessee ... nine tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass breakup at home versus FIU.

2010 (Junior)
Appeared in nine games and started against Arkansas, SE Louisiana and Middle Tennessee ... finished the season with 29 tackles, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, two quarterback hurries and a pass break up ... opened the season with seven tackles against Arkansas, also forced and recovered a fumble against the Razorbacks ... recorded five tackles against both Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee ... had both quarterback hurries and his pass break up against North Texas -- also recovered a fumble against the Mean Green.

2009 (Sophomore)
Started all 12 games to enter the 2010 season as the leader on the Warhawk defense with 23 career starts under his belt ... was eighth on team with 49 tackles (40 solo, 9 assist) ... posted a season-high eight stops in ULM's victory over WKU ... had at least two stops in every game during the 2009 campaign -- has at least two tackles in all 24 career games ... had an interception in back-to-back nationally televised games, Arkansas State (ESPN2) and Kentucky (Fox Sports Net) ... finished the season with six pass break ups -- two against Arkansas State and WKU and one each against Arizona State and North Texas ... recovered a fumbled and had five tackles in ULM's 27-25 victory at Florida Atlantic ... finished the season with three tackles for loss -- each went for a loss of two yards ... returned one kick for 11 yards against WKU.

2008 (RS-Freshman)
Moved to cornerback from receiver in the spring and had a breakout season ... named Louisiana Defensive Player of the Week following the Warhawks game against Arkansas -- he recorded 12 tackles and a sack against the Razorbacks as the Warhawks came within a point (28-27) of the upset ... finished third on the team with 70 total tackles and 59 solo tackles ... had 11 solo tackles against Florida Atlantic ... broke-up three passes on the season ... in his first game as a cornerback, recorded seven tackles and helped ULM hold Auburn to just 85 yards passing ... averaged 8.0 tackles in three games against SEC teams (Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss) ... named to the Phil Steele All-Sun Belt Third Team ... returned a pair of kicks against Auburn (27 yards) and Arkansas (18 yards).

2007 (Freshman)
Saw action in four games mostly on special teams before being injured at Troy ... finished the season with three tackles, with two coming at Clemson ... returned one kick for 19 yards at Clemson ... received a medical redshirt ... played wide receiver.

Prep

Four-time all-district running back for the Burkburnett Bulldogs ... three-time first team Red River 22 ... also played defensive back, ­and earned all-district honors ... had 1,191 yards and 12 touchdowns on 164 ­carries as a senior ... for career, had 4,536 yards and 57 touchdowns on 736 carries ... also lettered in basketball, track and powerlifting.
