2009 (Junior)
After two seasons as a backup in the 4-2-5 defensive scheme, Smith flourished in the Warhawks’ new 3-3-5 defensive alignment…finished sixth on the team with 57 tackles (38,19) and started in all 12 games…totaled 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks on the season…intercepted a pass against Florida International…totaled four quarterback hurries and four pass break ups…had a pass break up in four of the first six games of the season...had sacks against Florida Altantic (1.0), Kentucky (0.5), WKU (1.0) and Middle Tennessee (1.0)...totaled four or more tackles in eight different games...had a career-high 12 tackles (7,5) against FIU…recorded a tackle in all 12 games…tied a season-high with seven solo stops against Middle Tennessee – finished the game with eight total tackles

2008 (Sophomore)
Played in all 12 games finishing seventh on the team -- third among linebackers -- with 49 tackles (37,12)...made a career-high eight tackles (7,1) against Alabama A&M...had at least two tackles in all 12 games and four or more in seven games...had five stops (4,1) in season opener at Auburn and at Ole Miss...fifth on the team with five tackles for loss -- two came against Alabama A&M -- also recorded a safety in the game...broke up a pass in each of the first three games

2007 (Freshman)
Made an immediate impact as a true freshman, starting the final three games of the season and played in the final 11 games of the season...finished the season with 29 tackles, including a career-high eight (5,3) in ULM’s 21-14 victory at Alabama...had a tackle in 10-of-11 games played (only game without one was at UL-Lafayette)...recorded five (3,2) tackles against Middle Tennessee...had a tackle for a loss at Florida Atlantic...Warhawks were 3-0 when Smith started

All-district honoree for the Blue Jays...was the team’s leading tackler as a sophomore and senior with over 120 tackles each season...also lettered in basketball...preseason all-state selection heading into his senior season...all-district basketball player...helped lead Jesuit to an undefeated regular season in 2004 and a trip to the second round of the playoffs
