Junior (2010):
One of ULM's weekend starters all season...named Sun Belt and Louisiana Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete-game shutout against Mississippi Valley State; struck out six, walked one and scattered just two hits...he threw exactly 100 pitches and faced just one batter over the minimum in the victory...followed that performance with four straight games where he pitched 8.0 innings...struck out a season-high 10 batters against New Orleans; allowed just two runs, two walks and five hits...struck out seven FIU batters in just 3.0 innings of work...finished the season averaging 8.07 strikeouts per nine innings and with a 1.8 K/BB ratio

Summer Ball:
Played for the Battle Creek Bombers in the prestigious Northwood League...finished the season 4-2 with a 3.52 ERA...struck out 51 batters and walked just 27 over 61.1 innings of work, while opponents hit just .237 against him

John A Logan College:
As a sophomore, averaged over a strikeout per inning fanning 32 batters in 29 1/3 innings of work...finished the year 2-4 with a 4.91 ERA over 14 outings...appeared in eight games and tossed 20 innings as a freshman...finished the season 2-2 with a 3.15 ERA

Prepped at Ballard Memorial High School where he was an all-region and all-district selection...also lettered in football
