Played in 26 games with one start... ranked second on the team and No. 5 in the Missouri Valley Conference with 0.9 blocks per game... netted four points with four rebounds and three blocks in the loss at Southern Illinois (March 1)... grabbed a career-best eight rebounds and scored four points in the win over Bradley (Feb. 15)... blocked a career-best four shots and collected six rebounds in the overtime loss at Evansville (Feb. 12)... netted nine points on 3-for-4 shooting in the loss at Loyola (Feb. 9)... scored a career-high 10 points on a career-best five field goals (5-for-5) in the win over Northern Iowa (Feb. 5)... made his first-career start and scored four points during a career-high 24 minutes in the win over Drake (Feb. 1)... registered the first two blocks of his career in the win over Chicago State (Dec. 4)... scored nine points on 4-for-6 shooting with five rebounds in the loss at No. 14 VCU (Nov. 8)

Helped guide South Plains College to a 22-8 overall record and an 11-5 mark in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) as a freshman in 2012-13... shot 46.7 percent from the field

HIGH SCHOOL
As a high school senior, averaged 16 points and eight rebounds to help the 2011-12 O. Perry Walker team (21-9) reach the New Orleans Class 4A state semifinals for the third time in five seasons... in one of his top performances of the year, scored a game-high 18 points with six rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots to guide O. Perry Walker to an upset-win over St. John Bosco of Bellflower, Calif., at the Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Prep Basketball Classic... according to ESPN.com, Samuel was in contention for the 2011-12 Gatorade State Boys Basketball Player of the Year award... was ranked 42nd among forwards by ESPN in 2011... also played for the New Orleans Elite AAU Team.
