Played three seasons of varsity baseball and served as a team captain for Nettleton Tigers in Nettleton, Mississippi, graduating in 2021 … As a senior in 2021, he was named Division MVP and First-Team All-State after posting a 0.70 ERA in 69 innings on the mound with 104 strikeouts and 15 walks while hitting .411 with 30 stolen bases as the Tigers won a Division championship … As a sophomore in 2019, he was named First-Team All-Division after compiling a 3.72 ERA over 53 innings with 73 strikeouts to 17 walks while hitting .413 with 31 hits … As a freshman in 2018, he was named First-Team All-Division after throwing 62 innings with 78 strikeouts and eight walks … Also played football for Nettleton, playing quarterback and linebacker while being named First-Team All-Division as a junior and senior.
