Earned first-team all-region honors after batting .354 with eight home runs and 48 RBIs as a freshman at Hinds...also had 12 outfield assists and stole 15 bases in 18 attempts...missed his sophomore season due to injury

Earned first team all-metro honors for the Bulldogs...selected to play in the Mississippi High School Athletic Association All-Star Game following his senior season...named team MVP after batting .402 with six home runs as a senior
