ULM Warhawks

2018: Made 17 appearances on the mound for ULM, posting a 1-1 record with a  7.40 ERA over 20.2 innings… Gave up 17 earned runs on 25 hits while striking out 28 batters and issuing 15 walks on the season.

Dyersburg State CC: Named Second Team All-Conference as a freshman in 2016… Dyersburg State won its conference tournament in 2016, with Childress closing the semifinal and championship games of the tournament… As a sophomore in 2017, helped lead the Eagles to an outright conference regular season and tournament championship, super regional championship, and NJCAA World Series appearance as Dyersburg State achieved its highest national ranking in program history.

Brighton HS: Earned All-Metro Award as a senior, leading his team in steals for the second consecutive season while hitting .300… Started in right field while also working as a submarine-style pitcher… As a junior, was named All-District while batting .330 and starting in right field… Earned four varsity letters in baseball… Also lettered two years in football, and was twice named an All-Metro wide receiver… Won three letters in basketball, where he was an All-Metro selection and set the school rebounding record… Was a member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Travis and Kim Childress… Grandfather is an ultramarathon runner at age 75, having completed multiple runs in Death Valley, and ran across Texas at age 72… Manages livestock, including horses and cows… Plans to major in Kinesiology at ULM.
