Rose State: Went 3-1 his sophomore season with a 3.20 ERA in 45 innings...struck out 37 batters and walked just 18...went 3-4 with a 1.17 ERA his freshman year...first game of his sophomore season struck out 15, walked none and yielded just four hits at Seward County

Prep: Prepped at Oklahoma Christian Academy...named to the All-State team his senior year and was an Honorable Mention All-State his junior campaign...went 5-4 with a 0.97 ERA his senior season with 153 strikeouts in just 59 innings of work...helped his American Legion team to the state championship in 2002...also lettered in basketball and football...helped lead the Eagles to the 2001 Oklahoma State Championship in basketball
