2016 (Junior)
Had 10 appearances on the mound… Finished with a 0-1 record in 12.0 innings of work with 10 punchouts... went two innings on two separate occasions vs Samford and South Alabama where he held Samford scoreless… had four occasions where he struck out two batters in outings… threw season high 51 pitches in shutout performance vs Samford.

Jones County Junior College
Spent two seasons at Jones County Junior College for then-head coach Chrisitan Ostrander... Saw action in 18 games and made two starts as a sophomore... Finished with a 3-3 record and one save with a 2.84 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 38.0 innings on the mound... Did not surrender a run in 12 of his 18 appearances in 2015.

Prep
Played for his father, Jeff Schwaner, at Northlake Christian School... Was named All-District and the District Pitcher of the Year after notching an 8-3 record with a 1.89 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 74.0 innings of work... Also earned All-Metro and All-State honors following senior campaign... Tossed a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts and hit a homer on senior night.

Full name is Tyler Jeffrey Schwaner... Born May 11, 1994 in Mandeville, La... Son of Jeff and Yvonne Schwaner... Father played collegiate baseball at Louisiana Tech (1985-88)... Grandfather, Tom, played collegiate baseball at Loyola University New Orleans and professionally in the St. Louis Cardinals organization... Grandfather also coached collegiately at the University of New Orleans... Enjoys playing golf, playing video games and working out... Majoring in risk management and insurance.
